Homemade mixed feed

I highly recommend giant ragweed. I grow the stuff (well it really grows itself but I don't mow it and I spread it on purpose *gasp*). It's protein and digestible nutrition is as good as (even better than) alfalfa. My rabbits turn down willow and even mulberry for the ragweed.

Building a "canning Kitchen" in the dungeon.

Can you tell me how you built the sand trap? I need to build one of these so I'm not washing so much clay down my gray water system. Those counters look amazing!

    Only 2 kits, twice now.

It's quite possible that she has some internal fat buildup. I would breed her several times in quick succession and see if that helps. It usually does with my does after summer. Sometimes it takes 2 litters and the third is much larger.

going from whole to ground - tips?

Yep I have the same thing with a Kitchenaid. I just bought the one they had at Walmart which turned out to the smallest one. One of these day's I'm sure I'll burn it up but so far it hasn't happened and I've had it for a couple of years. Hubby promised me he'd buy me another one if I kill...

Brainstorming underground hutches plus colony living

Cement "bunkers" that like would be pretty expensive. It might, and I say might because I haven't looked into it, be cheaper to use large ceramic flower pots or something similar.

    Improving a does litter size

Litter size can sometimes be improved by back to back breeding. Does can put on internal fat that decreases litter size even if the does don't look to plump on the outside. This can be especially true with does who are allowed to mature before breeding (8 months or so) or who are given a...

    Orphan wild bunny PLEASE HELP

You might try this thread and read the entire thing. She has a very good guide on how she hand raised some domestic kits. hand-feeding-newborn-kits-t31485.htmlp It's hard to hand raise domestic kits and wild kits are even worse.

-- Mon Apr 01, 2019 7:17 am --

...

How to back a fur lap throw?

I was thinking... you really don't need such a heavy blanket in Florida...You can just send it to me. At least we get cold enough every few years that I could use it.

Could this be your breeding problem?

Arsenic is naturally in many foods. Cyanide is naturally in many foods. Everything is dose dependent. Just because it's synthetic doesn't automatically make it bad. Just because it's natural doesn't automatically make it good for you. I wouldn't eat a table spoon of arsenic but it is...

Could this be your breeding problem?

The rise in autoimmune issues and many other health problems started before the widespread use of roundup (1990's). I'm not saying they chemicals can't be part of the cause, but I think blaming it on roundup is not supported by the evidence. We are learning more and more about how...

How to back a fur lap throw?

I don't think so but it might. This is what I'm picturing. This is the stitch my aunts used to hand quilt ages ago. If you worked from the liner side and kept the stitches on the fur side short I "think" you can do it without catching much fur.

Could this be your breeding problem?

The paper on which this article was based has been withdrawn with lots of questions about the scientific method (or lack of) used in the study. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%A9ralini_affair

How to back a fur lap throw?

I wonder if some sort of fusible interfacing would work?

__________ Mon Mar 18, 2019 9:32 am __________

Ok after thinking about this more, I think you would be able to do a quilting stitch from the liner side and not catch the fur. The quilting stitch would just pierce...

Is this normal for a tricolor mini Rex?

Maybe a harlequinized broken amber/chocolate agouti? That's the only thing I can think of that would make the red, chocolate colored. Pics would be helpful. This is an example of a harlequinized castor/agouti. Amber will look similar to red with chocolate dots instead of black.
