Count 'em!! Final outcome:

This is in reference to show or meat production. The quicker that a animal gets to senior weight the better. You would still have to breed at the right age but it helps get the genetics better each generation (builds on genetics). Once at a senior weight it is up to you how you feed them. She...

    Count 'em!! Final outcome:

A spot of advice! When breeding for replacement stock you don't want to lose size by raising to many in the litter! 4-5 is the most you should give the doe and foster of the rest. that way you end up with super stock quicker. :hooray: :explanation:

    Standard Rex for meat?

Well Ive decided to go with New Zealand White's and I'm hoping to get a breeding pair at the end of this year! :D New Zealand Whites are the easiest to find in my area so I guess I have to go with them.

    Belgian Hares

I say go ahead and good luck! Because they will yield money in the long run. They are a beautiful animal and being in Australia I don't have any access to them or I would be looking into breeding them. They were one of the original meat breeds. I recommend you read the book under the downloads...

Meat Bun! What kind do you have?

Easiest way is to stick them on an ants nest in a sunny spot. Ants eat the flesh and the sun bleaches them. Or you cook it untill the meat falls off but that is messier. __________ Tue Jan 20, 2015 4:01 pm __________ I'd personally go for the NZ over the Cal.

__________ Tue Jan...

    Standard Rex for meat?

Hi, I was wondering if a Standard Rex has the right physical makeup for meat production. How much smaller than a New Zealand White are they and is it a viable option? :hmm: I need a breed that is good for fur as well as meat as I would like to breed for fur quality as well and do some tanning...
