My does go from pink to red during their pregnancy...otherwise it seems to be hit and miss...Spooky never did take if she wasnt hugely swollen and red, so she only got bred a few times, but on butchering I found out she had a lot of internal fat, which could explain all her missed breedings.

Well, I have butchered before, but it gets me bad everytime. I did Spooky just now. I feel so sick to my stomache and so shaky...I hate it, but they have a good life and a fast exit. I just HATE it . I figure if I am not willing to do the deed myself then I better stop eating meat.

This is the story of my life....no money to feed the little monsters, but you know, I seem to find it when they keep being so friggin cute and soft and precious. grrr....

Great job! My first one took me a few hours to complete, one, I had no clue what I was doing, and two, because it really freaked me out. An hour for two is great! (I am much better now, lol)

They are all still healthy and fat. :) Looks like one black, one agouti, two whites and....wait for it..... four reds! (I hope) Lol.

My rabbit kindled again. She had eight healthy appearing kits. I am waiting for something to go wrong, but so far, nothing has gone wrong at all...all kits seem healthy and fed. :) Lets see if it lasts. :)

I had a sick doe, i found her all skinny and covered in diareah from one night. i was certain she was dead so i took her kits and gave them to my other doe. First doe did recover, all the kits eventually died, no idea why. but the second doe (spooky) did very well with accepting four more.

I would pull the kits, you don't even HAVE to bring them in. If you havea dry shelf or a spare cage you can leave them outside and just let momma feed.

Last year I had a lot of "fun" chasing rabbits.... Between the folks who wanted to rescue my poor breeders, the homeless guys that wanted to pet them, and me forgetting a couple times to latch the cages, I had rabbits loose in the city almost every day. Glad you found her. I never had any...
