Can't help but think there's something wrong with this...

Gas and bloat are two different things... a lot of "sugars" in a rabbits diet *may* cause Bloat. A rabbit can "pass" gas and believe it or not CAN toss up their cookies. What causes gas in humans does not necessarily cause gas in rabbits.. broccoli is fine for rabbits AND humans with no gas...

    Doe EATING her OWN fur!?!

She is just simply bored.. had it happen here and a simple cat toy ball stopped the fur eating completely.

SERIOUSLY? The dangers of... Orchard Grass.....

We had a rabbit that did that, thought the same; how cute and he's just shy.. we had just got him a day or two before. Turned out he was in the "rolling" stage of E.C. Never showed actual head tilt but he did manage to wrap himself up pretty good in his wool and hay as well. He was never able to...

My youngest daughter did that last year and won something I think..

    Mini Rex vs Netherland dwarfs

I don't see that there are any pros or cons... both are in the 4 class and carry a dwarf gene and both take the same care. Both are equally challenging to breed correctly. This would just come down to personal preference.

Weird use of a dead meat rabbit

The yuck factor here is that roadkill is never previously frozen....and if one wants to eat roadkill one usually processes it pretty much right after its happened.

Avoid this sorry excuse for a man!

I actually saw a video on Youtube where a dog turned on Cesar Milan and ripped into him.. haha he actually said in the vid he "didn't see THAT coming" What a moron he was, that dog was showing signs though the entire clip..

Avoid this sorry excuse for a man!

ANY of you who think that correction on that Dobe was justified should NEVER be near ANY dog.. Get in the 21st century folks.. that type of training has gone out with the dark ages, in fact in the European Union and places like Germany that is now illegal. That man was well on the way to making...

Please tell me what this is....he is new

He is chinchilla "colour"; he has a mandolin shape... I see no champage at all, the brownish is old coat moulting out is all. He has strong Flemish influence is him and is probably still young and growing. Flemish DO come in chin colour btw and he is showing normal agouti colouring although it...

Is silver fox a "breed type" or just a color?

This is a very big ongoing problem in ANY colour... as in if a large rabbit is albino it is automatically called a NZW or if something has himi markings its automatically called a Californian.. a small dwarf rabbit is always called a netherland.. and on and on..

Kedusha had her foxy kits! Color help? UPDATE 15th! Pictures

They all look Silver Fox... that one just has an excessive amount of silver for the breed......which is wild as mom is hardly silvered at all. Nothing wrong with most of the kits, so don't understand why you would not show them to see how they stack up. I have never seen a SF kit so maybe that...

    Puppies!

She no longer has that concerned look on her face. She's also a very smart dog. I started doing a bit of training with her and well she caught on incredibly fast: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151991640138417&l=7994059112877435893

    Puppies!

I know most of mums story because Joe had gone and talked to the original owner to make sure it was alright with them if he removed the dog and it's actually a fascinating yet sad one. The original owner decided shortly after getting her as a puppy they could not afford to feed her so they let...

    Puppies!

A week ago I was told about a stray Res Dog by my work supervisors partner (he does electrical work on the Island). He spoke very fondly of her and was afraid she wasn't going to make the winter because she was very skinny. Already having 5 dogs he just couldn't take in another so I said I would...

My Pedigreed SIlver Fox IS A MASKED STEEL ?????(updated)

The definition of purebred is that two rabbits will reproduce themselves.. exactly. It doesn't really matter what recessive genes are there they are usually present in any genetic base. This is not new. As the sop doesn't recognize agouti silver fox and steel doesn't mess with the coat or...

    Coat color/genetics questions *Pics added*

Easy to get torts and sable points from the original three colours.. The black has provided self and all three could easily be carrying non-extension. They also could be hiding chocolate as well. So two non extensions pair up with an agouti gene and you get your red, two selfs and two non...

Does the full or new moon affect kit sexes? Check this out!

There have been moon breeding phases on several rabbit websites for a while, like this one: http://www.sunniebunnierabbitry.com/Moon.html This is one although disappointed that it hasn't been updated at all..

    Bruns *PIC*

We had lots of Brun kits with white spots on their foreheads.. it means nothing except they will silver a lot more than their siblings without that spot. It is also advisable to breed a lighter silvered to a more heavily silvered to keep from producing a Brun (or Champagne) with actually TOO...
