Records Keeping Programs (Screen Caps, specifics)

I've been using Hutch for about six months now and I highly recommend it. Very easy to use, wonderful setup and sorting system for the rabbits, and you can print off custom pedigrees and cage cards. Any rabbits that are marked as sold/died/etc. get archived so they don't show up as being in your...

    Adventures with Truffles

:in_love: Truffles is so adorable! :) Thank you for sharing those awesome pics! I remember taking Sparky (my very first rabbit) for walks outside and he always loved it. Truffles' coat looks absolutely gorgeous. I've never seen that color before, but it's so pretty!

    Favorite Toys

@bunnychild, I've bought some of MamaSheepdog's rabbit toys before and my bunnies love them! Here's a picture of one of my juniors with some of her toys hanging on her cage. (p.s. MamaSheepdog, have fun at the convention! :) )

    Rabbits Drinking More Than Usual

I've noticed this recently with two of my does. They used to need their bottles refilled every four days, now it's more like every two days. Just those two does, though, and their bottles are not leaking. I'm not sure what caused it in either mine or your rabbits. I'm hoping someone else on...

    Favorite Toys

My angoras love pushing soccer balls around the backyard. The lops seem to prefer toys they can throw around like wiffle balls and cat toys. They all seem to really enjoy frozen chew toys during the summer.

    I'm concerned

Just wanted to add something from a different perspective. I have no moral objections to the practice of culling and I understand why most breeders do it, but it's not necessarily her only option. I have never put down a rabbit in my herd unless it was terminally ill or injured so badly that it...

    Hot weather and Angoras

I raise French Angoras in Kansas. We've been having temperatures in the upper 90s F lately with heat indexes this week supposed to reach 110 degrees F and even nighttime has been in the 80s. My rabbits are currently located outdoors, under my carport and they've been doing fine. (They had a...

    What color am I?

What colors are her parents? (Knowing the grandparents' colors would also be helpful.)

    HUGE decision to make...

Boy, can I relate to that situation! My husband and I are going through this same decision right now. He was offered a job in this area that pays well and seems like a great deal. BUT, we've been trying to get away from his overbearing family ('clan' would be a better term) for a while...

Little Pips - Injured, possibly very badly, possibly not.

Wow, that's a very impressive looking hutch. :P Now I'm motivated to spruce up my own hutches! (P.S. Absolutely gorgeous dogs!)

Fighting Stasis? Help? Update: Bizarre stone?!?

Bananas also work really well for wool block, so maybe they'd also help with stasis? My bunnies are generally picky eaters, too, but they'll never turn down a banana.

    Livestock Guardian Dog with Rabbits

:hi: Welcome to RabbitTalk! :) My mother-in-law raises her rabbits that way. While she and I don't generally see eye-to-eye on most rabbit raising issues, I will admit that this method has worked very well for her for almost six years and she hasn't had any real problems from housing them...

    Poll: Age at Sale

What age do you start selling rabbits at? Usually 10 - 12 weeks. I wean at 8 weeks and than give them a few extra weeks to adjust and to make sure there are no health problems. What is the youngest you have ever sold a rabbit? I won't sell younger than 8 weeks. It's not technically a state law...

    First time breeder here!

It's usually a good idea to mention the intended purpose of the rabbit you're buying so the breeder can help you select the right rabbit for you. That's odd that she would have raised the price after hearing you wanted to breed it. :hmm: Most of the breeders around here (myself included) set...

    First time breeder here!

Hello, CopperCopyCat! First of all, welcome to RabbitTalk! :D I think that's great that you want to get involved in developing plush mini lops. They're such adorable rabbits and are known for having such sweet temperaments. Also, there's certainly nothing wrong with breeding for the pet...
