Help, I've got a nasty rabbit!!

I've only had one rabbit bite me. She better hope she got bred this time around cuz I think Fernie's pretty fed up with her and might not give her a 3rd chance to get bred. Cage space is at a super premium here and non producers, especially mean ones, aren't staying.

    Anyone else iced in?

Up here, Even though I have a big, heavy, 4x4 suburban, I also have an ATV with a plow on it, lovely because it's legal to operate on the roads, so I can get pretty much anywhere I need to when it snows. It's wicked fun to tear down the highway at 55 on a little ATV in the snow too :)

Watering system PVC schedule#40 pics. Beginning to end.

I use an aquarium heater in my system, however my rabbits are in a heated garage, and it's there as a "backup" in case the heater malfunctions and temperature drops. My system consists of flexible tubing instead of PVC, but heated water is heated water no matter what the pipes used to carry it...

    Rabbitry in my house

Mine are all out in the garage, although for medical or sanitary reasons, I will bring the occasional one in the house for a bit. Other than that, they and I are happy they're in the garage. It's got it's own industrial heater. It's currently -10 outside, and they're a toasty 50 degrees in...

We're under "winter storm advisory" with snow starting tomorrow night. they said at least 6" of big fluffy snow.

I see all the really low temperatures....

We're currently at 3, with wind chill to -5... so far. It WILL get colder overnight.

I see all the really low temperatures....

No assaulting going on here. Fernie is sick in bed... So I'm safe. Plus she hasn't seen this thread so I'm good.

I see all the really low temperatures....

My assault shovel: Now if I can just get Fernie used to operating it, snow can get cleared in less time :rotfl:

I see all the really low temperatures....

I don't have to worry about back breaking shovel work. I own an assault shovel. Plus an ATV with a plow blade...

Sadly, those items are often found to be missing among a good majority of the motoring public...

    New 12 Step Program--

5? I bet Fernie wished we only had 5... After this week's visit from the "bunny change fairy" we might have an additional litter we weren't expecting... :o

I see all the really low temperatures....

We're supposed to be down to -2 this Friday... The ducks are gonna be sooooooo pissed. At least their little pond won't freeze.

    Abandoned Urban Chickens

I'm sure there's lots of places in the US that have that. One of the many reasons why I'm glad not to be part of the "urban" or even "suburban" crowds. I'm at least a half hour from anything, and I like it that way!

    Heat lamps

I don't use them. My rabbitry is heated to 45 - 50 degrees in the winter, so no reason to consider using them.

How can I tell parents from offsprings?

I use a sharpie until they are big enough to tattoo. Just write in the right ear, this way the left is available for tattooing.

What do you use for your breeding "calendar"?

I have sheets I keep out in the barn, and transfer the information to the computer when I come into the house. I use kintraks animal breeder.
