    Carrier size for show

The National ARBA Convention does provide cooping. Some of the larger shows might have cooping "available".... meaning You could use their coop (for a fee)... or use Your carriers. Most local show are "Carry case shows".... meaning You use Your own carrier to contain the rabbit. :)

    Daylight Savings Time -- Ugh

While it does jar our systems.... DH and i prefer DST. It gives us more light evenings to be outdoors... Especially when it is Gardening time. I get S.A.D. in the fall when the darkness comes so early... and there is nothing worth watching on TV... and too cold and miserable to even Think...

Are you a cat or dog person?

Guess i would say that i was a Dog person with a Side of Cat. We had cats when i was a child... outdoorsey cats that came and went as they wished. And cats inter-twined thru out my life. At 16 i got my first dog... a German Shepherd. She taught me as much if not more than i taught her. We...

Is this a red flag? Should I be Leary?

Just my opinion..... but if You are not comfortable with strangers coming to Your home..... why should a breeder that has never met You ( a stranger) before... be any different ?? Personally i do not want strangers coming here. Even "friendly acquaintances" i am not comfortable with. I need a...

Does Anyone Else have HughesNet ??

We live in a very rural area. Far beyond the reach of cable for internet connection. Some years back we were able to get a satellite connection thru HughesNet under the "Rural Recovery Act"... that was to assist people like us, that could not get any other sort of high(er) speed internet...

    Guess What's Back....

We use Baycox when suspecting cocci. It seems to do a better job than any of the other kinds of medicine. It IS pricey .... but a bottle will last a long time. Then cages are scrubbed with ammonia. Ammonia will Kill coccidiosis. Bleach and other cleaners do not. Hope this might help.

How much is a Herd Buck?

A quick response is... "a rabbit ( or any animal for that matter) is only worth what You are willing to spend for it." Many Jersey Woolies of Nice quality are pricey. ( of course some lesser quality are pricey as well ) A Proven animal would have youngsters that show as well if not better...

Do all Fuzzy Lops get messy under their tails?

We have Jersey Woolies... another fluffy breed. There are one or two that seem to have similar issues with a messy butt. I have found that when i treat those animals for coccidiosis ... using Baycox ( Not sulmet or the other ones) ... it clears up the problem very well. It "seems to me" to be...

    Joining the Wooly Side?

3 1/2 years ago we added Jersey Woolies. Prior to that we had commercial breed rabbits. What a Difference ! And the learning curve has been steep. The small breed rabbits with Wool are quite different from big meaty rabbits... in care... feeding... breeding and culling. ( at least in my...
