    Good breed for rabbit hopping?

On of the Best Hoppers i ever saw was a little Britannia Petite named Humphrey. He blew out the competition at the Harrisburg, PA Convention in 2013. The young lady that had him had "Clicker Trained" him for jumping. He was awesome.... Fast and could he clear those jumps ! He has...

    Continuous Problems With Brood Doe

I'm hoping it is Cider vinegar You are using and not plain white vinegar. Most rabbits tolerate the cider vinegar very well... in fact they often drink a bit better With it. :) We use 2 tablespoons to a gallon of water. And carry our water when we take them to shows.

    Continuous Problems With Brood Doe

I agree with the suggestion to get her Off the shavings , and on a wire floor. If she is sitting in the shavings.. those hold moisture and she will stay soggy. Some animals just are messier than others. :/ Another thought.... some shavings are dustier than others... Even the "good"...

Anyone ever bonded an intact male and a spayed female?

My big concern would be the actual spay operation. Rabbits do not do well with anesthesia.... mortality rates are rather high..... a vet that has done many, many successful spays would be the best choice. The doe being 6 years of age would also have that against her. Shall cross fingers that...

Anyone ever bonded an intact male and a spayed female?

I have heard of people giving a buck a "snuggle buddy".... either a spayed doe or an older doe that no longer produces. It seems to be beneficial for both animals. Reading Your post again... You mention that the doe is Dominant... that might be a problem... but hopefully spaying...

Some does do seem to spray... They back up to a spot and let loose. Can really make a mess. Thankfully, not All does do that ! Bucks can spin And spray at the same time and cover a larger area . :/

    New Title: In Indy

Somewhere , here on Rabbit Talk, is a post with a name tag that could be printed out to help identify RT members at large gatherings. I do think i might have spotted someone wearing one, at one of the big shows. ( but i could not get close to them in the crowd to be certain) Here it is :)...

    New Title: In Indy

Visitors are most welcome. Yes, rabbits "may" be sold there ... but .... #1 They must be entered in the show. the $17 entry fee Will get tacked onto the price. #2.... a great many exhibitors seem to price the rabbits sky high as "Convention Rabbits"... never-mind the actual Quality...

    New Title: In Indy

We made the decision to not go this year. The one in 2018 will be closer to home. Plus... all these little Wooly rabbits are so far Out of coat.. that i do not think they would be able to hold their own at this time. We did go to Indy in 2011 and What a Show it was ! High numbers in...

    Weaning style survey

Most of the time i remove the youngsters. But..... sometimes the doe moves. It just depends on the situation. Some does are done, done, Done with pesky youngsters and Need to be away from them. Others seem to enjoy the young and will stay together longer. Often, especially in colder...

RIP computer, overbaked buns, and other tidbits

Computer issues are a royale pain !!! My sincere sympathies !! We seem to lurch from one issue to the next here. :/ Congratulations on the new bunnies. They help a bit with the other issues. Really like the scene in the rabbit concept. Has lots of possibilities !
