Premature 1st birth?

I bought a doe a month back, she was pregnant and I had no idea, she kindled in her little house and hid the babies for a few days till they started to crawl out. Made a nest for her and put the babies in the box, placed the box in the same place her house was and she takes great care of them...

How is covid 19 effecting everything?

I've gotten way more offers and questions and I have no ads out. Yet half of them are people who have done no research and don't even know what breeds they want. Someone this morning asked if I had "dwarf lops". Apparently they meant mini lops but I am strictly a holland breeder and only...

    Premature 1st birth?

My first doe didn't build a nest until about 5 hours before kindling and once gave birth to a healthy litter on day 42 so anything can happen

    Premature 1st birth?

have you checked into her nest? maybe try and move it into a box. You could have a vet palpate or learn how to yourself to see if there is anything. First litters are always odd.

    Overweight bunny?

What breed are they? Some breeds are just naturally slimmer or fatter and there's not much one can do about it.

odd breeding behavior... what does it mean? (NEW NEWS)

I've never had this happen but the doe was a train wreck when I got her. She had gotten pregnant while still nursing then lost the second litter and they decided to sell her a week later and only told me after I paid.... But this litter is very healthy, just don't know the father

odd breeding behavior... what does it mean? (NEW NEWS)

I bred her again and this time she took without the biting or snorting. In fact, she tired the buck out so whatever hormonal imballance was there fixed itself and I didn't accidentally get a mean doe

__________ Thu Jul 16, 2020 4:26 pm __________

found out why she was...

odd breeding behavior... what does it mean? (NEW NEWS)

So I got a doe a few months back and today was her breeding day. I place the buck and the doe together, one fall off, everything's good. He mounts, she raises, and right as he falls off she tries to nip him but runs into my hand and nips me. I give them a break and try again. Every time he falls...

How do I get rid of rats before they are a problem?

So a few days back I noticed rat droppings by my feed. How do I get rid of them before them become a problem? I've heard many tales of rats taking babies and other issues like that so I'm slightly concerned this might lead to issues.

EMERGENCY doe with blood! labor or stuck kit?

    Best tattooing tools?

Mine's a TB tat pen, it was recommended to me by many other breeders, and I bought it on amazon with a tat kit with numbing spray, ink wells, a marker, extra needles, ink, and a handy dandy bag for everything! Only about 70 USD https://www.amazon.com/All-Things-Bunni ... r=8-6&th=1

EMERGENCY doe with blood! labor or stuck kit?

she gave birth to two stillborn on the ground, not in her box, and then the afterbirth came. Both were misshapen and ones stretched so it's clear that it was stuck

EMERGENCY doe with blood! labor or stuck kit?

So my doe made a nest yesterday, today is day 33, and this morning i checked on her but she hadn’t kindled yet, (she normally builds a nest right before) her vent was bloody and there was an odd "fleshy"? blob in the corner, not a kit. She seems very tense and I’m not sure if this is just right...

Does anyone know where i could get a mini rex buck

I take it you've searched CL and such? If not, highly recommend that. Facebook groups for states and breeds work as well. Just a simple google search might help find some connects. check the ARBA web site n such as well

Rabbitry set up ideas welcome! (anyone in a small shed?)

So my rabbity has been basically the same for 4ish years, since i started, and I started knowing nothing, a wee 12 yo and was hoping those who have wonderful setups, indoor, outdoor, everything, would comment some pictures! It would be really helpful and greatly appreciated :D I've got...

My doe is kindling any tips

the biggest thing is don't stress. And I know this sounds so "happy sappy advice" but I stressed so much over a litter and there was no need to. If this is her first time then yes, check every hour or so for issues, make sure she feeds them, always have kitten mix just in case bottle feeding...
