Hope you don't end up with my problem. I cannot part with my rabbits so I'm up to my you know what in rabbits. If you're not careful it's very easy to get a couple dozen kits at one time.
Dutch is a small rabbit around 5 pounds. Mini-lop is about the same size and lay back. I try to handle and pet them daily as soon as possible. Otherwise rabbits will kick, bite, and scratch when it comes time to process them.
Smaller breeds will be OK specially if they are not the breeds that like to run around a lot. You can make a pen out of fence wire under the cages for you animals to run around a bit when they are not in the cage. If you're eating them around 8 weeks they wouldn't have time to get bored...
There isn't much information on the site. Does it have a wire bottom for waste to pass through? If so is there a pan to collect the waste? What gage wire? I guess it's barely big enough.
Do they chew up the wood? I've given them green twigs and I toss them after they chewed off the bark. Don't know if they would continue chewing the heart wood.
Most of the rabbits would act like they were starving when they see me. They would rush the door trying to get at the pellets. Do your rabbits act the same? :o
After a week off pellets I've decided it's just much easier to use about 8 pounds of pellets daily. It takes more time to separate hay from the bale to a day's portion. Even though I can get free vegetable trimmings from the organic food store, it has to be used right away before it starts...
Since I have to go an extra 20 miles to a feed store I wonder if I can just suddenly cut off pellets. They have been getting vegetable trimming and pellets so they are used to eating vegetables. They are not too fond of horse hay. Of course they love the high priced hay.
Just above 100 yesterday and the same today before a break in the heat tomorrow. All my rabbit cages are under young mulberry trees so they are always in the shade.
It was in the news.

New E. Coli warning after toddler's death
Jedidiah King Cabezuela attended the San Diego County Fair Grounds and petting zoo on June 15, and his family said he was in and out of the hospital before his kidneys...
My leg itched so I scratched. Found a tick there. Lucky it had not dug in too deep. Took a while but was able to pull it off with just a little bit of me in its mouth.
It's just one litter. You can get an indoor plastic bottom cage and let her and the kits spend the summer indoors. I prefer having litters indoors because it's convenient to handle the kits more often to socialize them.
