    Injured Buck

It must be a pin prick because I can't find an actual wound anywhere on him. I have since wondered if one of our barn cats has crossed the road into our garden and tried to claw him through the wire.

    Injured Buck

On this morning's rounds it looks like our buck Cheddar has been injured somewhere on his head. He has light brown to red staining smeared everywhere on his head. Has he injured himself somewhere and spread the blood trying to clean himself or is it something more sinister like a rat attack?

    Rabbit tractors/

There's 2" wire fixed to the base of the run, so they usually go for a little ride. It's big enough for them to eat the grass through it but they're not going anywhere.

    Best way to kill rats?

Can confirm. Mr Boo, still going strong at 15 leaves dead rats on the doormat for us to dispose of 😊. Not interested in rabbits in the slightest 🤣

    Hello from Northern California!

Hi, would love to see what you get from the Rex / Cali crosses.

    Cage size

Our neighbours had some really bad experiences with aggressive rabbits. Changed to tractors and it completely went away. That may have been coincidence but it happened before we started and that's what made us go for tractors in the end.

Here are ours if it's any use. They are a decent size the runs are (1 x 2 yards) and we move them every two days. The sun shades have taken a bit of a beating over the winter and the paint will need re-doing when spring comes properly. Our Cali's have been fine in them all winter.

Throw your rabbit names at me!

    Is one fall off enough?

Is that just your line or does it hold true for all English Angoras? Or all Angoras?

    What do you grow?

We find they are pretty robust if you wait until they properly get going with some leaf on them. One per pot would be best to avoid damaging them during transplanting but we are planning a living willow hedge so we have about 30 of them on the go at the moment.

    Hello from Washington State!

Oh yes very much so. They were developed by a P. R. Letts in around 1912. Mr Letts arrived in Lithuania from nearby Latvia as a refugee with little more than a small bag and two colourful ducks in a wooden crate. These birds coincidentally carried the colours of the Lithuanian flag (red, green...

    What do you grow?

It seems like lots of people are dabbling with willow. We always grow our own from cuttings. Incase anyone would like to know how here's how we do it. Go for a stroll by the river with some cutters. Find some willow and take pieces of recent growth 12" long and the width of a pencil. Pop those...

    What do you grow?

What parts of the willow do you give to rabbits, is it just new growth and fresh leaves? Also, how much is enough or can you just free feed willow as much as they like? Thanks

    Dogs & Rabbits

The one time we had an escapee, she was excellent at gently herding her back to us.

    Dogs & Rabbits

I should have been more specific. She's a border collie she doesn't stay still for more than 2 minutes, she'll spend hours moving between rabbit tractors and chickens to make sure there in place.

    Dogs & Rabbits

Does anyone else find that their rabbits are unfazed by their dogs? Ours take no notice at all of them and I would have thought they would react badly with a potential predator so close. Or are we just lucky? Our border collie spends hours watching them :)

    Pulling fur really early

Despite all of our reading and research it seems every day is a school day when it comes to rabbits. Looks like we'll just wait and see and hope she's got some fur left by day 32! There really is no substitute for experience thank you all for your help.
