    Champagne d'Argent vs Silver Fox

I have both breeds and a mix of the 2. Silver foxes are definitely a bit bigger. Silver foxes also have multiple colors where as the Champagne's only have the one. I get around 8 kits from my litters. What I like about my Champagne is they seem to be a little more feed efficient and little less...

    Rabbits and chickens

I briefly kept chickens and rabbits in the same run. The chickens loved getting on top of the cages and they'd poop. If the chickens can't get on top of the cages, it's probably fine. Personally, I wouldn't allow rabbits to be in direct contact with chickens, I worry about Coccidiosis. Also...

Problems Finding Purina Pellet, has anybody used Kings brand?

I went to tractor supply yesterday. They had lots of Purina Complete and it was on sale, buy 3 get 1 free. If you want to drive north for like 800 miles, I can hook you up

I'm on the same coast as you, so it could be coming my way, who knows. Good luck!

Problems Finding Purina Pellet, has anybody used Kings brand?

I feed Purina complete, haven't had any trouble finding it. I also feed Purina pro plan to my dog and have been extremely happy. I might go stock up on Purina complete. Have you thought about feeding more heavily on hay and greens?

Creme D'argent x Chocolate Otter Satin cross

I got excited reading this thread. I've got some Champagne mixes too. I have a Champagne/Silver Fox and his head is lower on the silvering too. He's 3 months old and and I haven't really posed him before so he looks a little goofy in the picture. I've also got some meat mutt/Champagne that look...

Building cage... advice, suggestions, or warnings please.

I don't have advice for most of your questions, but do not underestimate predators. They will know your rabbits are there. Just because there aren't many right now, or you haven't seen them, doesn't mean they won't come once you have rabbits. I have solar motion sensor lights all around my...

    Idiot-Proof Rabbit Nest Box Plans?

I've been using the all metal nest box from KW cages, they have a bunch of sizes. The bottom is removable, I just hose it out to clean it. I'm pretty happy with them. https://www.kwcages.com/catalog/product/view/id/1275/s/rabbit-nest-box/category/7/

    New Member, couple questions.

Rabbits sold! I went straight to the store and bought feed. I ran out of hay yesterday so the timing was great.

    New Member, couple questions.

8 weeks old, the silvering gene is really starting to happen. I have a sale pending of the two bucks, if that goes through my rabbit and chicken feed will be covered for a month or two, excited about that.

    Not new, but returning!

I take it, the plastic cups aren't working out? They looked neat, sorry they didn't work.

I like the picture with Aqua's kits, how the silver is coming in on that forehead. I'm sure you've said this elsewhere but this thread is very long. What breeds are you keeping?

    Color?

I do have the pedigree for the New Zealand Red. I'll have to get it out and look for hidden genes. This is her first time being bred. Assuming it worked, I'll share pictures in a month.

    Color?

I just did that exact Champagne/NZ Red cross over the weekend. I wonder if my kits will look like yours.

Kits are six weeks old and very ready to be moved to a grow out cage. A different doe kindled a couple days ago and that is going great, she had 11!

Buck filling feed bowl with pee

Have you tried the bowls that clamp to the side of the cage? My buck is very destructive and I can't have any loose bowls in there with him. The clamp on bowl fixed all my issues I was having with him.
