Lol naturally as I feared Joy kindled while in on my 24 hour shift! She did perfect though clever girl! All in the nest none on the wire! I can’t wait to get home my new rabbits from USA also arrived today! I won’t peak at Joys babies until tomorrow morning but I will give her a cookie! (Oats)

I feel you... as of TODAY I have more rabbits on my little town property then I can handle so some rabbits are going to move offsite and that is exactly my concern! I do hope they little girl is OK!

As it happens I was just speaking to a lady in Texas this morning about a blue SF doe. I am looking for a high quality BLUE doe if anyone has btw! At any rate, she said they adapted well to her climate, she got them locally and used just shade, frozen bottles and a swamp cooler to help them...

I am in quebec, and while not known for heat we did have a record breaking summer and worse, forest fires that made the air quality horrible and visibly smokey and smelly quite a few days. My asthma was terrible so mine were in the house until the end of Jluly, then in tractors in deep shade...

I agree take every precaution just in case it is something spreadng. But my first thought s abcess/infection, so I would check her teeth and around her face and neck for lumps etc.

Well still nothing this morning! SO frustrating! But I have heard that does can go up to 38 days with no issues. So I am still hoping! So much for they breed "like rabbits",

Gosh I hope you are right! It is quite crisp and windy out there! They have wind protecton and no drafts but the trees are rustling! Maybe they wait until the still and quiet of the night. Trouble with that is I leave at 3:30 pm and get home tomorrow at 9:30 am so here is hoping they babies...

Nothing but 2 seriously jumpy does this morning and Joy was clearly busy fussing with her nest box overnight... there is now a rabbit version of a "door" She took the cardboard I had carefully cut to the bottom and side and wedged it into the entrance and appears to have moved all the carefresh...

Ive notice in both does a decrease in appetite and drinking a lot more water. They also are a bit more jumpy... normally I give them all scratches when I do morning feed and night check and they tend to come to the front of the cage. Both girls were clearly not in the mood for attention...

OK, Hope my girl who had three fall offs and then another 3 -8 hours later, who is HUGE is on day 31, no nesting behaviors at all. On the other hand, her sister Joy is on day 29, she is so small next to her sister but as of lunch today she is moustaching like crazy and trying to dig to china...

Interesting! do your goats eat pasture? Here the nigerians all have nice turn outs with long green grass at end of season, but all the bushes and trees are heavily browsed. Funny as they eat hay from the fields on the property when they go inside all winter! And I see plenty of wild cotton...
