    Rabbitary Wipe Out

I just need to add, Jeremy will need vaccinating asap, as his best chance of survival. You can take him to your vet for Nobivac but be aware that the VHD2 component of the Triple takes three weeks to start conferring protection. Your best bet is to use Eravac, which takes only 7 days and is a...

    Rabbitary Wipe Out

Unfortunately RHDV2 (usually just referred to as VHD in the UK) is endemic in the UK, which is the reason it's no longer a notifiable disease. We have battled against VHD here in the UK since the early 1990s, when VHD1 arrived. VHD2 is a more recent strain which arrived from France about 8-9...

    Harlequin and Magpie

They can also be blue and fawn, chocolate and orange, or lilac and fawn. Magpies can be black/white, blue/white, choc/white or lilac/white. In the USA/Canada, the breed is known as Harlequin, and the variety with orange/fawn plus colour is known as Japanese; the ones with white and colour are...

Natural Feed - will this work?

We don't tend to use alfalfa as much in the UK - it has to be imported, as it doesn't grow that well here and there's only a few growers. But nevertheless, there are pellet brands which contain it. I feed the only GMO-free pellet available in the UK, Allen & Page Breeder Grower (A&P Natural...

    Magpie Color?

Not sure of the EE standard (or standards in individual countries, which may differ) but here is the BRC one. As the Dalmatian was originally a European breed, the BRC standard will be very close to those in Europe.

Natural Feed - will this work?

And alfalfa. Monsanto produced a GMO alfalfa that is resistant to herbicides, so it can be sprayed to eliminate weeds but not be affected.

    Magpie Color?

That pattern is called Dalmatian Rex in Europe, but the lighter grey patches would be a DQ. You could try to breed bicolour Dalmatian, or use her to breed Tricolour Dalmatian.

    Protective spray for trays

You might be able to find plastic garden trays, depending on size. I have some made by Garland (I'm in the UK) which I use as litter trays inside the hutches. But they could be used under a wire floor. They are made of tough plastic designed to withstand chemicals.

    Is this even possible?!?!?

Th earliest I've had it happen was 3.5 months when I left a doe in with a buck too long. But that was a small breed (Netherland Dwarf) and larger breeds take longer to mature. Even with Dutch - known to mature very fast - the earliest I've known a doe get pregnant was 5 months.

    Is this even possible?!?!?

It's possible - but just as likely (if not more likely) is that she's feeling ready to breed and is making a nest because she's broody.

I had a real hard job with a 7-month old buck!

    Help with abandoned babies

I would get some specific advice from a wildlife rehabber. These are Cottontails, a separate species from domestic rabbits, so any advice online pertaining to domestics won't be suitable.

    8 day old kit eating

I mentioned in a thread that I'd seen babies - eyes not yet open - eating strands of hay while still in the nest. I have a litter at the moment and because we've had some hot weather they've been laying near the nest entrance, meaning I've been able to watch them sleeping... and eating! Today I...

Is ivermectin effective for EC? Here we use Fenbendazole.

    Harli/tri genetics

As both are self based ee you would get Sallander in this case, as ermines are agouti. But I'm sure you knew this :)

    Baby bunnies eating momma's poop

They absolutely do, and I find the internet to be absolutely scary at times with the amount of misinformation out there, which some people take as gospel (and even sometimes try to argue with you about). On the subject of babies starting to eat, I have seen them in the nest chewing strands of...

    Does this count as broken?

The Broken pattern can sometimes mask other white spotting patterns such as Vienna. It looks as though the sire of this one didn't pass on his Broken gene, but handed over a different white pattern he had there hiding under his broken pattern. It may be Vienna, it may not be, it's very hard to...

    Help with colors?

A blue eye in Dutch is, really, just another mismark. It occurs where a white patch falls over the eye, even if you can't see it. So, just as purebred Champion line Dutch can throw white marks in the ears, or a skewed saddle, long stops or a coloured patch in the white, a blue or part-blue eye...
