    At a show now

My rabbits all ultimately placed last but two of them were simply out-aged. The judge said this fall thise two should be real contenders, but need to grow. I was pleased with the results since it confirmed my appraisals. So, all in all, a good day!

Bulgy Eyed Lethargic Doe -- Wry Neck?

I don't know either. The reading I did perhaps indicated a molar issue since there were reports of drooling prior to a bulging eye. If it was an infectious abscess in the bulbarwhateveritscalled area, then I've never seen something develop so fast that in the end it was mere millimeters from...

    Bucks being breedable

Depends on the breed of rabbit and when they're fertile. The dwarfs can be ready to inseminate at 3 months old. My NZ like to wait until they're 7 months old, although I've heard a few as young as 5 months old can get the job done too.

    Another Eye!

I've got a NBE kit with the white spot and eye goo, and I'm using my daughter's pinkeye drops on it (Vigomax) and picked up some Terrimycin at a rabbit show today. The Vigomax is doing the trick of clearing up the infection, reducing swelling, etc. I'm hoping that the white spot is just damage...

    Ohio State Laws

I'll mix mom poops in either with the dish of food or I'll set up a litter box that I sprinkle poops in. If you're going to do six week breedings, be sure to feed your does up very well! After my third 6 week litters my does were super thin and bony, and they get unlimited feed, oatmeal, BOSS...

    Ohio State Laws

Of course! Most kits are off milk by 28 days and spend the next few weeks transitioning to complete solid food. I will make available to the kits poops from their mom til about 7 weeks so they can keep up on the bacteria if they need it.

How to tell condition by feeling backbone?

You should be able to feel the skeletal structure when petting the rabbit, but spine bones should not be feeling overly sharp and pointy like a mountain range in a too thin rabbit, nor should you be unable to feel the ribcage and spine (or just feeling tiny little lumps where the spine would be)...

Bulgy Eyed Lethargic Doe -- Wry Neck?

I should find some marigolds and make an eye wash. -- Wed Jun 01, 2016 9:13 pm -- Her eye is so swollen she can't blink it. Any suggestions for some sort of patch to keep the eye from drying out?? She's become more and more lethargic, won't eat. I've started to hear teeth grinding. If...

Bulgy Eyed Lethargic Doe -- Wry Neck?

Someone suggested that maybe it's a spider bite to the face, which could account for the ear laziness. She is housed outside, I'll have to scan the cages for any 8 legged residents. She seemed much less tense in the house, cooled off and in a darkened cage. I hope the next 24 hrs sees vast...

Bulgy Eyed Lethargic Doe -- Wry Neck?

I've bathed her eye in saline solution and gave her plenty of willow to nosh on. I hope the swelling goes down soon! I've read on wry neck and I don't think this is wry neck, I think she hurt herself somehow.

Bulgy Eyed Lethargic Doe -- Wry Neck?

OMG, what is up with this month?????? Within the last 24 hours my doe, Rainey, has become really lethargic, one eye has become bulgy to the point where she doesn't blink it completely and the membrane is partially covering it, but the lens seems is drying out a little, and her lack of reaction...

Bloat where there was none before in a charlie

Thanks to the great advice of y'all, my Charlie has lost his bloat and is pooping like normal!! However, he is super thin now. He picks at the hay but doesn't gobble it down, eats his oats, and I've slowly started putting pellets back into his diet. I've already broken the no greens rule...
