Many might just have ghosted like I did. As a beginner breeder I rly liked getting advise and learning from everyone on here, but as I got settled in I found less and less need for other's imput. I also had a really great breeder (ex)friend to chat with irl whom I could consult if I needed and...

    Nest in tunnel.

Sounds like that was a lot of work for you, but glad you got them out safelly. Not just for the soiled bedding issues but also for socialising. The babies would've been super wild coming out of that tunnel otherwise.

    Hello from Maryland!

Either you were lucky or I was unlucky because mine had a lot of issues even when I tried my best to keep their setup clean and comfy for em. After I switched to lionheads I'd also often had to go help my friend who still had the breed. She had about 30 adults but I HATED her setup and she didnt...

    Hello from Maryland!

I started with flemish, it wasnt for me but I understand the appeal. One thing you need to know for them if you decide to buy/build a cage is that they generally really don't do well on wire floorings. Their weight make the wire cut through their feet and that's rly bad. So you need either flat...

    Blue Vienna Rabbit

Then all you can do is try them out a while and see what they are like if no one can advise you on em. You have a good meat breed to compare them to at least. My website is grossely out of date XD many changes were made, I keep trying to catch up on updating it but I always fail lol. Short...

How is covid 19 effecting everything?

yup, basically what I meant too, but some people might react by saying "oh I'll get any breed insted" and raise em for meat anyways, I do lionheads and a few english angoras afterall.... So that why even pet rabbits are at risk of people acting like that.

    Blue Vienna Rabbit

I dont like big rabbits, I tried meat breeds before and rly felt miserable while caring for em. Now I breed lionheads and english angoras. My lionheads arent pure and many are dwarf crosses. For my meat needs, I've found a 3 to 4lbs rabbit is best. If smaller, I just put 2 together in the same...

How is covid 19 effecting everything?

I've stopped selling myself, Since december I've had some really bad customer experiences wich has left me very sour. Also, my health is rly poor and just a normal cold sends me to the hospital in an ambulance.... I have the advantage that whatever I dont sell, I eat so it's not a problem for...

    What breed am I?

Looks most like a Jersey woolie. Just looking at the fluff aspect: Lionhead would have more head fluff and less body fluff. English angora would have fluffy ears. French angora would have fluff on the tip of the ears. lionhead english angora cross would have more head fluff and fluffyish ears...

    when should i???

It's not recomended to weane kits early, it makes them far more prone to all kinds of deseases and makes them very vulnerable to early death. I keep my kits with their moms until they sell or get big enough for chopping at 3months or so. When I do decide to split the mom and kits it'll be at 5...

So excited about my new cage!

Cool cages but... Ohhhhh the thumping concerts you're gonna have in the future XD I have 2 cages in my room and I've stacked em for a while but chose to unstack em. Thumping concerts are inevitable when you have multiple rabbits in the same room but when they are stacked like that each thump...

    Broken castor x opal?

To my knowledge, red doesnt hide black, it's just different. If you add the otter pattern to a red, it's a tan rabbit and you'll see clearly how a tan can be black. Red is just the self of that. I'm not sure about chinchilla, I've seen some babies from a magpie buck and from some harlequin does...

    Broken castor x opal?

I'm unfamiliar with the castor color, but Opal is dilude of chestnut (aka Opal = blue agouti) and looking it up castor is a synonym to chestnut so yeah... my bad for not knowing that lol, I know it as chestnut is all. What you'll get depends on the hidden genes of your rabbits. Agouti is a...

Judging a Doe's Readiness and Breeding Tips

Even when you breed same color to same color, hidden traits can show up in babies. Even when breeding for specific colors all we can do is prioritise our probabilities and keep our fingers crossed. So if you dont care then there's no need to worry about it too much and just breed those you feel...

    Astrex looking for new home

Hey everyone, I know not many people live close enough to me, but I figured I'd offer him here anyways. Theo, a black astrex lionhead male is for sale. Not many people have come forward for him on kijiji (kinda like craigslist). He produces astrex offsprings like crazy. He fathered 4 litters so...

    Extremly puzzling color!

its not a blue tort, doesnt look like one at all in person. For now we'll just see how she ages, but we're thinking she'll be blue point like clovis and is just in a weird color phase right now

    Extremly puzzling color!

Here I am asking for my english angora friend again. An unknown color poped up and we are both stumped. When she sends pictures to other people they all say it's a lilac tort, but I've seen it in person and we both think it's something else. Lilac tort should be a peach color with hints of grey...

Help me choose what's best (it's finished)

Well I made my decision and finished it. Here's a few pics with Operetta as a model. (the rest of the clothes are random monster high ones that came with a bulk set of dolls) Leaving the pics sideways since they take less space that way
