There's also blue shampoo for white haired people, but by far the purple shampoo is the most powerful. I used that all the time when my hair was bleached white. Very strong though so expect a purple tint if left too long XD

Maybe her hay is dusty or if they are doing renovation that could also be the source. If the paws are crusty, I'd be concerned but if they arent I'd look at the environement too. If she intends to try medication reguardless, have her bring it to the vet. A noob trying to do good could end up...

I always found the transition hay is the most important, rabbits should eat 90% hay to 10% pellets, pellets are suposed to be just a supplement, not the main food. I have big feeders so my bunnies eat what they want, but hay is the most important. It has the most noticeable change in content...
