    Placenta? Kinda getting worried.

I agree with everything Maggie has said. I have had a doe give birth over a 36 hour period. There were two DOA in the middle, but the other 6 were healthy. Does are extremely adept at kindling. At this point wait and see, hope for the best, be prepared for the worst.

    Test breed ChinxREW

percentage wise, if he carries cchdc, you should see half of the kits REW cc on a breeding. OF course things never work so perfectly. If you were sill not to get any rew on this litter, then I think you'd be pretty safe saying he was cchd? You'd have to try a few more breedings though to make...

    Blobby thing?

IF you found them almost immediately after they were born, she may just not have had time to finish cleaning up. Sometimes they kindle so quickly that just getting the sac open is all they have time for before the next one is on its way out. IF it was a large enough kit, she may have just pushed...

    English Angora or English Lop

I have experience with both Elops and english angoras. The elops I find to be somewhat susceptible to disease, and their ears make them rather high maintenance. A beautiful rabbit can be ruined if stressed enough to chew its own ears. I also find them to be more susceptible to overheating...

    Placenta? Kinda getting worried.

The stretched out kit, in my experience, does often happen with a "stuck" kit. If she has another stuck kit, she could still be having contractions and will eventually give birth, but it will be DOA almost certainly. If you do a visual inspection, you might be able to see something, but usually...

    Two new French Angora

Oddly enough, when we first got Ghost, he wouldnt eat for almost ten days. Just minor amounts of water. I was going out of my mind. I think shows and such really helped him respond more positively to change and stress.

Looking for a Rex, Harlequin or carrying harli

Anyone in the southwest US with a Rex available? Looking for fur and weight gain over show quality.

Possible Californian with brindling??? (Need opinions)

The second picture definitelu shows more coloring. What a neat coloring. I sure would love to introduce some harli to my meat mutt program. I have a harli chin, but she has yet to throw any kits and I'm about to remove her from my breeding program for other reasons. (She's an FG / Rex mix and...

Possible Californian with brindling??? (Need opinions)

They are definitely Himalayan colored. They often look REW when born and the points darken and darken for the first year. As far as brindling. I suppose it is possible given what else you got in the litter. But it could also just be incomplete coloring in the points, which will eventually...

Advice on shelving and/or rat problems

I find that sunrise and sunset are the best times to feed shelved kits, with the moms being much more apt to feed in the morning, than in the evening. Yes, a rat could definitely be your culprit, and thankfully shelving is a good solution, as its really hard to get rid of the buggers...

    Wool Micron count in angoras

I would be very interested in seeing the difference in visual structure of the hair vs underwool, as well as the micron count. All good things come in time.... no rush Ferra, but I love the sciency stuff.

    Wool Micron count in angoras

If I remember correctly angora is less than half the micron count of the rougher of the wool sheep breeds. BFL is something like 24 - 29 microns Merino is 15 - 25 Alpaca 20 - 40 Angora 10 - 15 http://www.wildfibres.co.uk/html/fibre_size.html

    Two new French Angora

Shearing will give you the opportunity to monitor their condition, and will keep the mats and grooming to a minimum, but it could cause some stress all on its own. Are they eating better now?

Keeping Rabbits Cool in hot temperatures

I've only ever broken one, and i honestly can't even remember the incident now. But yes, they will break. I've found them to hold the cooler temp a bit longer, and a switch and rinse and back into the freezer just works for us, but, experiences will definitely vary.
