    Wool block or bloat?

3 months is young to have wool block, but it is not impossible. Pineapple juice, especially processed will not necessarily have the enzymes you need and may be too diluted to help at this point. My recommendation would be 4cc or ml of mineral oil every 8 hours until she starts pooping again...

    Rabbits Hate Water

Or at least they should. I cant embed the video directly, but you can see it here: https://vimeo.com/276530968 <iframe width="640" height="564" src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/276530968" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen webkitAllowFullScreen></iframe>

    heat stroke

There is definitely a progression they need. If it is 95 every day, they have no problems. If it goes up or down 5 degrees they can handle it, but more than that and I see signs of stress. I do get to implement a rigorous culling process now that I see what stresses lead to more than that down...

    heat stroke

Ferra, Yesterday was forecasted to be 35C (95F) but instead it hit 39C (102F) The rabbits here can do 37.5C (100F) without much intervention on my part, but that seems to be the breaking point. Today it is a tad warmer, maybe 39.5C (103F) and so every hour I'm changing out tiles for the short...

    heat stroke

I was thinking along those lines as well. If she's going to be heat sensitive, than this is just not stock I want to carry on. And so I do want to balance her well being, her health and her longevity here as a breeding rabbit. I had intended her to be part of the next generation, but I think...

    heat stroke

I have a number of Flemish mix growouts in holes. They are approx 12 weeks old. Today I was away from the house and the forecasted temperature and the actual temperature were grossly different. When I returned home at the warmest part of the day, one of the young does was showing extreme heat...

Old rabbit attacked new rabbit? Help

Like most animals they do establish a territory of their own. a more neutral meeting place is necessary and even then putting two does together may just never work. And it sounds like your doe has had babies recently. That is going to make her especially protective and dominant. I wouldn't put...

What color is this considered?? Pictures (10 days old kit)

Agreed, definitely harlequin color. japanese versus magpie harlequin. And agreed, Californian, are Himi colored but much larger. My buck is about 10 pounds, and i think my doe is right around there. Shes small. Is that him in the pictures you uploaded, Milky Way?

    Making a new breed

Agree, but the Dutch colouring is controlled by a specific gene, I believe. Since I've not seen anything with the colouring you describe, I would think it would be more like 1 in 1000 kits born.

    Making a new breed

I have no problem with developing a new breed, but I'm not sure there are any genes that would enable the repeated specific marking. so it would be hundreds of kits to get similar colored rabbits. And it would be accidental. But I may be mistaken.

    New in NC

Well welcome back and I am so sorry to hear about your ponies. i hate when things like that happen, but I've found the pared down herds, pony or rabbit, are better stronger herds in the end. Your new meat mutts are darling. Good luck with them. :)

    Should I Be Worried?

Its possible he strained it, or has injured it through vigorous digging or similar activity. If there's no swelling or abscesses I think you are relatively safe doing a watch and see approach. If it seems to be getting worse, or tenderness appears in other parts of the body, maybe a vet visit...

Our First BLUE Kit!... I think

The eyes are a dead give away when they're older, they will have a reddish tint, especially in the refraction. It sounds like you could have a lilac, and in the pics, I see a little bit of a tint, however it could be lighting. Give the fur a bit more time to grown in, and look again at about two...

Our First BLUE Kit!... I think

Blue and lilac are very hard to tell, even when you have both in the litter. What color were both parents? Youd need both to carry choc and dilute in order to get lilac. And there will be just a rosey hint to a lilac, and to the eyes.

    English Angora or English Lop

precisely, the number of breeds you have is only limited by the amount of cage space you have. :)

    Test breed ChinxREW

I only have a picture of sable chin in angora, which is probably not the best example. Dood or SableSteel may have a pic.

    Blobby thing?

The nest box with its stickiness and hay can definitely create a mess that you get rid of in one swoop.

    English Angora or English Lop

I am completely biased, and I'm not sure I'll ever be without Angora. In fact I can see myself branching into having all 4 recognized breeds in the ARBA, plus Germans. I think they are absolutely the best.

    Kit color I.D. help?

What SableSteel says is absolutely correct. And yes, you can tell almost at birth that they are off-white verus a REW or BEW white, but only because even their skin is a tad darker, as REW and Himi are hot pink when born. Yours appear to be pearl, but like SableSteel said with more body color...

    Blobby thing?

Placentas are usually between half and a third of the size of the kit. A mass that large would concern me, as I'm surprised she got it out. If it occurred in a future litter I think I'd retire her.
