Thanks @ladysown. Did not think about extra water bottle for grow out. The j feeder that I am looking at has punched holes.

    Cleaning up/dust prevention

When I used to work at a golf course, I had to sweep the golf cart garage. We used sweeping compound to keep the dust down. Something like this:

My mom always put peanut butter on traps. Now I know that we could have saved money buying traps, She never reused them, just tossed mouse and trap in the garbage.

Feeders and water - Meat Rabbits

I live in Georgia so rarely do we get really cold winters. May have a few days of freezing, but nothing like in the north. Eventually I would like to set up a gravity fed system.

Yeah, I have heard about the frustration of frozen nipples. What king of bowls do you use? Do you have any issue with poop or getting tipped over?

Get a live trap and put something fatty food as bait. You can use cheese, bacon or meat. If you have a griddle that catches greese, put in a dish inside the trap, or soak paper towel in the greese and put that in the dish. Check trap often.

Thanks @MnCanary Do you use flip top bottles? My thought are they would not hold up very well over time opening and closing every day.

    Dreaming of baby bunnies!

@L&Tadventures I have started to get that same itch (as I am getting less young). Rabbits seems like a good place to start since my in-laws, on adjacent property, already have chickens (for eggs). Looking to buy less at the store. Still learning.

Okay to eat a rabbit with a jaw abscess?

I am not a vet, but I thought abscess's were a sign of compromised immune system due to infections. I am not sure how this impacts the meat, but deffinatly interested in other's comments.

Feeders and water - Meat Rabbits

I am looking for a J style feeder, but when I go to supplier's site, I see that there are many sizes. My plan is start with 1 buck, 2 does and 2 grow out cages. The breed is New Zealand White or Broken. Should I get a wider feeder for the grow out cage? or should they all be the same? What...

    New to rabbits

@L&Tadventures I like the clean look of this build, but I notice that the bottoms of the case swing a lot. Any way to prevent this?
