Well that is fantastic! It just goes to show that everyone may have a different experience. Tamuks definitely can make good pets. We have one in the house right now - a doe that get a bit chonky on me and I hope will run off some weight.

That is odd - We don't have a mill close by but the prices are usually better. Maybe not at a mill that doesn't normally do rabbit feed? I ordered feed in from a mill in Louisiana (Petrus), paid freight, and it was still cheaper. Now that was last fall, I wouldn't attempt it now with diesel prices.

I think it is important for any breed that buyers are planning to use a similar setup as what you are using. It is something I discuss with those buying my Tamuk breeders. They are heat tolerant not heat impervious. That are still rabbits. And sometimes even with the best of intentions, setups...
