Hi everyone,
I'm Andy, i live on a little suburban farm in Arvada CO with tropical plants, chickens, ducks, goats, cats, dogs, lizards, frogs and spiders galore.
Last year we learned how to raise meat chickens (raised, slaughtered and processed around 220, mostly CornishX) and it was the most fulfilling year of my life. This year I'm ready to begin working with rabbits for meat and fur.
I'm building 3 cages (30×48×24) in a secure run behind our barn, and am researching breeds now.
I've read Storey's Guide to Raising Rabbits, Raising Rabbits for Meat by Rapp, and watched everything there is on YouTube. Now I'm here and ready to get dirty!
My next step ideally would be to meet some rabbits in person.
If any of y'all can point me toward any breeders and/or shows in the Denver Metro area I'd be super grateful!
I'm excited to be a part of this community! Thank you and cheers!
