So this is a litter out of the same parents I keep having mystery colors and silvering out of. Is this a broken, is it Vienna? Opinions on what you think is happening for torts and these colors to pop up? I would love some input.

I will attach photos of baby, kits in the same litter, mom, dad, and some other kits from previous litters with same pairing. The breeder I got my nz from has 6 generations if that’s helpful at all.IMG_8555.jpeg

What an amazing assortment! Some of those silvered-looking bunnies are gorgeous. The bunny in the first HEIF image is just stunning. I think maybe it's the same one you posted about earlier, and we were all thinking lilac-based?

So, it looks like you're getting lots of reds and torts in different flavors! :ROFLMAO: The tiny kit might be a lilac tort, and I'd go with vienna not only because those are pretty typical vienna markings, but also because I have yet to see a broken with solid colored feet like that (though I never say never...) Your buck obviously is <ee> but the doe must also carry a copy.

This kit, though, is especially interesting; that is not a typical tort pattern. Is that the same kit as in the photo with the sire and dam? And would you be able to take pictures from a few more angles?

Thanks! Isn't he!? I kept him for an extra 2 weeks bc I thought I saw silvering and was curious. He was my favorite out of this litter and went to a pet home! I was so happy lol. But it's a different one, I chalked it up to blue tort but wasn't positive. The picture after that one is actually the one that we were guessing silvering for. Variety is something this pairing has not lacked! Being my first pair, it's very confusing while trying to learn lol. Yes that vm kit is the same one as in photo with mom/dad. It's definitely one of the smallest kits in the litter, but it's so pretty!! I have some more angles, but can definitely take more if it would help!

Here are some more I already had
There are couple of pretty interesting things here.

That pale belly would eliminate tort, unless it's white markings from the vienna. But it seems not quite white; and at least in my experience, VM doesn't usually make the whole belly white anyway.

Also, there are some variations in the colored sections that also don't make sense with tort, especially those darker patches on the back. I'm really wondering about harlequin. If you have a self <aa> rabbit with both harlequin <ej> and non-extension <e>, you get what's called a torted harlequin. You know both parents carry self <a> (since they made torts, which is a self color).

If harlequin is lurking, it seems strange that you would not have seen it after this many kits, but once I start looking closer, I see this:

@judymac has a good eye for harlequin. I wonder if she has some observations.

I believe I could have missed it, I’m very much learning lol. If she has good eyes for it, I’d love her insight. I’ll keep an eye out if she responds.

Glad you mentioned it, I was thinking the same thing. I was looking at HEIF photo:

Generally, torts have all dark points, not dark interspersed with orange patches. I've marked a few with arrows here.

Also, can you take a closer look at mom? Is her coat just mottled because she is molting, or when you look closer, are some patches really black, and others a nice dark orange? I'd part the hair in each section, and see what the hairshaft looks like.

I'd guess harlequin, too.

Thanks for pointing that out! Her nose area used to be mostly that blue/gray color, I guess it has changed and I haven't noticed. That is interesting then! I will definitely take a closed look at her when I feed later. Thank you!
