We are looking for rabbits. We are looking for New Zealands and Japanese Harlequins. Looking for them to be as close to Kentucky as possible.

Thank you
The ARBA National Rabbit show will be in Louisville KY this fall (October) and also in the fall of 2024. That is a wonderful opportunity to buy very good rabbits--lots of breeders sell rabbits there. Contact the national clubs for the breeds you want, they will put you in touch with other breeders. Event Schedule

Already went the ARBA and the clubs. No response from there for either breed. Done all the other sources as well. Figured trying here might help or get me another option. I guess not.

I'm not going to argue with you. You can't buy and sell animals on facebook but you can make connections. It's at least a place to start. It was a place to start. Was merely trying to give you additional options. It hasn't been my experience of spammers from Cameroon on facebook selling rabbits.

It has been mine. I have tried FB already and got nothing but scammers. Yes, I went and dug into them when things did not add up. Yeah, FB groups are loaded up with the scammers. Just cause they say there are in the US does not mean they are. There is an entire FB group set up to weed out the scammers. 90% of the current animal scammers are out of Cameroon.

Even making "connections" is against FB TOS. Originally the ban allowed farmers and rescues to continue on, but that didn't last a year. FB changes the rules to make PETA happy. PETA owns a big chunk of FB stock. I have tried FB, MeWe, ARBA, the National clubs, Craiglist, Hitchpin, Farmish, and a ton of other places. Most of the people listed on many of the sites as having the breeds I am interested in no longer have rabbits.

There are a number of rabbit groups on fb, some variety specific, others general, it is a good place to put in requests.
That is how I started finding the scammers. Yeah lady had 3 of the breeds I was interested in. Even the Japanese Harlequin and she was only a 2 hour drive from me. I started getting the odd feeling when she kept asking for me to send money via CashAp. Then I started digging....

Hi @Fernie I'm in Central KY and raise pedigreed New Zealand black, broken black and REW. We mostly just raise them for ourselves, but have recently started to sell a few to offset some feed costs. We have a few nearing breeding age, and a few litters on the way. I'll message you!

I Raise NZ and California's in south central KY. I just bought a couple from a central KY breeder recently. I can share the contact info if your still looking.

I'm on several Facebook groups, with different hobbies, and I haven't run into scammers.
Oh they are there. They are in every one of the animal/livestock groups. Many of them actually run some of groups. Most people never realize they exist until they or somebody they know get taken. Believe me I have ran into them when I have been looking for any animal.

Thank you everybody. In searching for New Zealands found several breeders close to us with Silver Fox and Silver Martens. We decided to go in that direction. We raised Martens in the past and liked them, but figured with them being not so common we would never find any. Silver Foxes were the breed my husband had wanted several years ago and we have 4 breeders near us that have rabbits available.
