PG& E to cut power to a 466,000 homes
I raised rabbits in Northern California,
I was concerned about and prepared for "power outages"..
I had a backup generator, to make sure my swamp coolers and exhaust fan would not go down,
and a big water storage tank.

Good tips for vulnerable areas. Climate sure makes a difference.

I just moved my babies into a roofed cinder block building in PA. (We just moved 4 hours south, so sw pa instead of nw pa.) I don't expect to need to heat or cool them ever.

For backup water, there is a plan to install a little old fashioned manual water pump would serve emergency needs. There is a stream on the property, so I expect high groundwater to make it pretty easy.

I think "how many rabbits are involved", also makes a huge difference when deciding on emergency preporations ..
That rabbitry in Ca. had 250 does, any problem, would have been a big problem.

They cut my power too, thank goodness it cooled off the day they cut it!

Yeah, any issue with cooling or water could cause a disaster.
