How about making a cube out of wire? say 1 by 1 or 1 1/2 inch holes. stuff it with hay and then use small clips to latch it closed. Would that maybe help with the wasted hay? I wonder if our pig would eat the hay waste?

AR do serve a purpose but they have a tendency to go over board. I sometimes get over confident that where I live is so far off the beaten path that No one will bother me up here. Then I remember in the late 90's a mink farmer up here got attacked by PITA and they turned all of their mink...

If I go the hay will be free. I know how hard hit lower michigan is for hay. You will just have to meet me somewhere to get it.

LOL That could be but I did just find 4 shoes coming up in Wisconsin that would be about 4 hours away. YAY!! AMHERST, clintonville, waupaca, Wisconsin Rapids and all are less than 4 1/2 hours away. And all are in September. Cant get much better than that.

Well If you were closer I would give you hay. I have plenty of nice soft alfalfa mix hay here.

There are no shows in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but maybe in Wisconsin somewhere around Green Bay I can hope. I am going to go to the state fair up here and see what comes in. You never know what you may find there. Ill be keeping my fingers crossed. I believe the fair starts the 12th of...

There are 10 cages so I figure I will be able to make some decent size cages for all 4 of my bucks. I only have two of them home right now but on the 8th the rest of my Rex are coming home. I will need to put those bucks somewhere. :)

I will be picking up the cages on Thursday. I cant wait. :)

I know right!!!! I just wish there were closer standard Rex breeders around here. Oh but when I get my hands on some It will be next to heaven!! I am going to love mixing my little magpie girls in there to see what I get.

Just a thought: Be careful of cheap hay this year. It may be old and the longer it sits the less nutrition it has. If it has been rained on it may be dusty or moldy. And we all know that dust and mold are very harmful.

I want a lilac Otter because then no matter if i breed to black, chocolate, blue or lilac and self or otter, I will get an otter of the does color. How much more perfect can you get than that. And if I breed him to my magpie girls It really will be like christmas...... Otter-Black => 44.44%...
