Thank you for the complements.
Unfortunately it is not so funny for me. I've never grown out young bucks, the two I bought from different places are driving me up the wall. I keep getting grabbed by them.
This guy paces his cage and stomps his feet at me whenever he sees me.. letting him run...
OK I have a lot of contenders for this position. Including one of my jr bucks who was humping my lap as well as the table when a judge was looking at him. But his behaviour seems more directed at other rabbits.
But currently this guy is taking the cake.
I can't even take a photo of this boy...
Sorry to hear about the trouble.
I think herbally raspberry tea helps as well.
If you aren't opposed to a vet helping, oxytocin is a MIRACLE with this. A small jab of it and everything is out of there within 30 minutes. Might be something to keep in mind if you're planning on rebreeding her, as...
Angora are really competitive and bred to a high standard. I'm guessing the breeder compared juniors and simply decided they were not as great as something else that was born and sold them for that reason.. Sometimes during the finishing phase of growth an uglier junior can surpass a nicer one...
I can't see it working in a "normal" market. Though if you advertise a price of $200 (ie $150 neuter + $50 cost) you might have some people interested.
Most of the people I have talked to about my pet rabbits are fine with this. I'm fine dropping the asking price of my pets to "cover" some of...
First of all forgive me for any gaps in my knowledge, I'm an animal nutrition student but I'm still learning!
I recently read a report on the 2016 corn crop in the USA that has me greatly concerned. Mycotoxins, which are fungal pathogens that can be found in any type of grain, but are most...
Sadly I'm not seeing a justification for the price either. :( I don't know Hollands either but I think you could find a decent rabbit for cheaper if you poke around on facebook. :)
I hadn't thought of that. I'm going to pick up some prebiotic this weekend for her too.
The fancy rabbit food has yucca as well which I think is good for the GI tract. Thank you!
Do you know Jeanne Walton?
If you want to private message me your Facebook I can friend you and put you in some hare specific groups. Jeanne could probably help as well.
Sadly I just bought a 2 Jr bucks and a Sr doe for $150US each to bring to Canada so I am done on restocking. :(
She had 2 doses of ivermectin not long ago for ear mites. I was wondering about trying to give her something else though for worms...
We do use water bowls, and they get unlimited grass hay. But none of the other stuff. I did at one point buy her those oxbow digestive support herbal treats but...
Hare lady where are you from?? Myself and several other breeders keep waiting lists for our babies. People are fighting over hares and breeding crap rabbits (sorry no offence meant) because demand for this breed is HIGH!
I'd love to help you get in the "loop" if you wish. :)
You're right that...
Hi all, it's been a while, and I never seem to have good news when I come here of course.
I have this 2 year old hare doe who is concerning me constantly. She keeps going off her dry food and hay and just eating greens and nothing else. Seems like she'll stop eating, I forcefeed her/offer a ton...
Ha ha.. I really doubt feeding high protein all the time is a good idea... considering..
Pinot is 5.5kg (1kg over max weight for breed). Her daughters are 4.5kg but I'm sure they'll catch up to her shortly. All my boys are about 4.5kg as well. So they're all teetering on the high end for their...
I hope y'all like to learn about my weird issues with my rabbits I keep having..
So, Chardonnay, Belgian hare, 1 year 4 months about. Aug 8th marked day 28 of pregnancy (though I usually have babies day 30-31).
Monday/Tuesday she spent most of her time laying down stretch out completely...
