If I had that situation happen to me I'd keep the nest boxes in with the does until day 40, because my luck I'd pull it and one would birth then. By 40 days they're definitely not bred and if they do have over cooked kits in there the survival odds are almost none from what I've seen.

Grass clippings are different than making hay. You need sun, heat, and air movement to get the hay dried after it's cut. Grass clippings are little tiny pieces and you'll have to be turning and stirring it to get the air movement through it. On a small scale it's much easier to just feed it...

Sounds like a made up number. A quick search turned up nothing. Best I could find was a news article about a humane society pleading for people to not get live rabbits for kids for Easter. It said they did a study, I'm guessing for their area, and it showed the average life span of pet rabbits...

They look healed. Could be from rabbit fight. Could be an over cleaning mother who nipped the ears when cleaning them at birth. Small as it looks I'd say maybe rabbit fight.
