I stop brain activity with a.22 bullet. The bunny acts releived when they are put on the ground, vs being transported. I dont put the next one in the blood from the last one, but its close because the revolver stays in 1 place. I do this out of sight of the pens. Nobody in the pens seem to care.

I believe that ending brain activity humanely and quickly is the best way terminate the bunny's life. Therefore I spend the 5 cents worth of .22 caliber bullet to the back of the head. Thats my way.

My does wean the kits. There is water hay and pellets in the cage. When i see the kits eating pellets and hay, mom comes out. KISS....

I have lots of bunnies in the freezer, but ..... I have lost a lot of food to freezer failures in the past. I just started canning, and my first effort was stewe3d rabbits. Got 6 of the 7 quarts to seal, so now I don't have to worry about losing power. Nest attempt, pack them raw w/ spices...
