So what do you mean by rings? Like the hair follicles when you blow on them, or different color ring in her fur no blowing.

You could try setting up live traps and see what you get. Maybe it's not just racoons? I would say re-enforce the cage they are in. Make it difficult to get into with taller smooth walls and put into the ground at least 6 inches so they hopefully won't dig under.

Sometimes the genes don't show up for generations so it's hard to predict for sure.

If you could figure out some of the parent's genes, you can sometimes predict the color. That is what I did with mine. I expected all castor but carrying some recessives and I was surprised to find I got two red/orange ones. You can then take that and put it back into the parents to figure out...
