I'm working with two new buck/doe pairs this year, I'm trying to see what I can figure out what genes they carry for color so far.
Broken red doe to red buck - red, broken red - did this breeding twice with the same results
Steel doe to red buck - red and steel/"black" (doe had issues caring...
I know its been asked a lot, but I want to be certain and know what the hive mind thinks.
Almost a year ago I picked up a breeding trio, a 3mo buck, his almost 4 yo dam and an unrelated 3mo doe. I’ve been trying to get the dam bred since getting her with no luck. I’ve tried every trick I can...
Thank you @Buknee and @ladysown
Another breed I was working with, I had a doe who would do this as a clear deterrent to the buck, although she was much louder about it 😅 and with none of the other signs I usually see I got worried…and I may be a bit anxious to get some babies going after this...
After a 7 month baby drought, one of my does (will be her first litter) finally took yesterday, but I’m concerned even with 3 fall offs that it may not have taken? She flopped each time my buck got on top, my buck definitely did a fall off 3 times even with her doing that and each time she...

I’ve...
Thank you SableSteel. I’m talking about satins.
I’ve read so much conflicting information about steel! Then when I asked in my breed’s group chat, I got even more confused. Especially about the ermine. Are steels taboo? I felt like I ruffled feathers when I asked. Do clean lines refer to not...
Hello!
I have one line of purebred self/broken self rabbits that I have been working with for just about a year now. At the beginning of this year I added a mixed breed ermine doe to my barn, and bred her to my two purebred bucks.
Her first litter- bred to a broken black buck. Got black gold...
The best way to care for an English Angora’s coat is to use a force-air blower. Anything 1HP-2HP is best, and in my opinion finding one without a heat option is safer. Brushing/combing will break the coat and cause matting.
