    Eyes wide open

As another member posted today, our kits are also opening their eyes. Unit445's kits are squirmers and bouncing all over the place. This is mom's 2nd litter (1st litter all died) so this is a big milestone! Also a pic of the happy parents.

Disappointing mother rabbit. What should I do?

My does first litter,, she did the same thing to all 6 kits, did not feed them. I heard this can be common for 1st time mothers and they will hopefully learn by the 2nd litter. Kits not being fed

Thank you both for the reply. All the kits died - they were too malnourished by the time I identified the issue. I had checked them each morning to make sure they were active, but did not pull them out of the nest to observe their health (warmth and plumlness). It wasn't until they were very...

Would it be a good idea?

Good question. I just made a similar post as I have a mom not feeding her kits. Looking forward to seeing the responses

    Kits not being fed

Good afternoon - new to this group and rabbits. I have read some older posts and gave some things to try, but didn't see exactly an answer to my concern. Forgive me if I missed it I have two sister does that had a litter within 3 days of each other. "Good" mom had her litter first, 6 days ago...
