The penicillin is a different class of antibiotic. That's what I would try. TSC, Attwoods, or any farm/livestock supply will have it and its dirt cheap. We keep some around for cows and hogs.

From what little I know about lespedeza it is similar to alfalfa. Are you planning on cutting it for hay and feeding the hay to the rabbits? I don't think it would be a problem to feed it as a supplement, but not as a sole feed.

I know some will disagree with this, but I don't give IM shots. I've got a degree in animal science and I've always been taught to give all shots sub-q or IV. If you so give an IM shot on a meat animal, give it in the neck to keep from ruining any good cuts of meat. Just my opinion.
