Avoid this sorry excuse for a man!

It doesn't matter the size of the dog, the level of drive it has, or the level of stereotyping we give it as a breed. It is completely unnecessary to cause physical pain during training. When you use punitive techniques you aren't teaching the dog how to act in the manner you see as correct, you...

Why are purebred dogs so expensive?

I paid $550 for my Working Line Male Australian Shepherd. He was born and reared in a Barn and had all his first set of shots when I purchased him. Aside from the fact he had his puppy shots I know nothing about his genetic background. I Paid $1200 for my Female Australian Shepherd from a show...

    thoughts on line breeding

I have a brother sister litter out of a closely line bred line. Today I went to breed one of the does out of that litter today and I put her in the wrong cage so she's now bred to her brother both are incredibly typey and meaty. However if I get anything strange I'll certainly post it here.

    They grow so fast.

Thor is now 14 months old and weighs a nice 70lbs He earned his Champion Trick Dog Title at 11 months making him the 3rd youngest dog to earn it. Siren is almost 6 months old and weighs a decent 33lbs Siren has her Intermediate Trick Dog Title. They love each other:

    Eye colors

Blue eyes in Dutch is the most irritating thing ever. I have a doe with a blue eye I only kept her because she had the best markings and type in the entire litter. I believe the Dutch gene and the vienna gene are somewhat related. This is Etain as a baby. She currently is on a litter and so...

    Baby Brun!

It depends on the line of Argent I can see silver started by 4 weeks on mine especially around the eyes and nostrils. I've had some fully silvered by 12 weeks and some that were still very patchy at 6 months.

    Meet Siren!

Dogs with green eyes are pretty cool there are a few around here with really green eyes : However Green in the Aussies is more of light brown colour and not actual green. Siren's eyes have started getting darker already -Thor's were much more blue at 8 weeks than hers are.

    Meet Siren!

This is what Thor thinks of Siren: They're best friends now --He wasn't even sure she was a dog until she barked at him today.

raw feeders/ those who make their own dog food

This dude is fed 100% raw and has been since 8 weeks He gets beef, pork, chicken, rabbit, duck, fish --the weird things I find at the butcher plus eggs. He gets about 1.95lbs of meat daily in two portions He's 63lbs but because he's so active he eats more towards the high end of the portion...
