Hey people! So I'm beginning to breed Rex Rabbits, and my sister(a fellow rabbit breeder), told me they need pellets that can let them grow and get some fat on them. I'm trying to find what pellets are good to keep my baby rex rabbits growing and to be at a healthy weight. They're roughly 2 and a half months old, and they need pellets that can give them some meat on their bones.

I have a mini Rex and I just feed her and her babies a feed from orshelns I sometimes I get a different one because they won’t have the one I had last time but I usually have the one with best ingredients and I have one or two babies that get pretty chunky while the others stay normal size!! I have used any orshelns feed for over a year and have had great luck with it! I mix in BOSS and oats as well sometimes!! Hope that helps…

I breed mini rexes and I use Blue Seal show hutch deluxe 17 for my nursing does and rabbits under 6 months. I use Blue Seal pro hutch 16 for any rabbit over the age of 6 months :)

(although pro hutch 16 can be kinda dusty and its also perfectly fine to use show hutch overall)

That is what I use

I have had great success using Purina Professional rabbit pellets for my Rex herd. I prefer to keep the protein up at 18%, but the fat is not enough for my does with that feed. I add BOSS and oats to all does with litters to correct that issue.

Around here, we get one choice in pellets. 🤷‍♀️ It took me forever to find meat rabbits and I ended up with a trio of Rex crosses. Since it's summer, they're eating mostly forage with a little handful each of pellets, like, every two or three days. They're growing like the weeds they're eating. 🥰 If you decide to try picking their dinner, be sure to start off slowly so they don't get upset tummies.

Feed a 17% protein pellet and I add oats and timothy/alfalfa hay. I use Big V feed out of McAlester OK. It's 50 lbs for $20, no dust, always super fresh and green and my rabbits all love it. I compared it to Purina Pro and it's basically the same, just a lot cheaper.
