*Pouty face*

Well... you took the liberty of using that perfectly awful pun, Maggie... :weep: and how can I top BH's comment about him being in the witness protection program? :cry_baby:

And yes, sadly, I am a bit under the weather. A winter cold has swept through Chez MSD and I have fallen victim to the contagion this time.

But, not to disappoint, I will make an effort...

:sneaky2: Chuck is preparing to raid the kitchen of holiday leftovers so has donned a clever (and useful!) disguise. The enlarged proboscis is designed to aid in early detection of savory delights, and the glasses themselves provide superior night vision... as well as being very fashionable, of course. ;)

That's better, MSD! :D

Sorry you're under the weather. :( And sorry if my pun was more pun-ishment than you can bear right now. Hope you're feeling better soon.

I have to admit I have a weakness for puns. Puns and limericks. I know... very low tastes. :p

 Bless his heart! I can't tell if he's doggie grinning or trying to chew that fake nose off.

He's got an underbite, so he's just always smiling.

I don't have to admit this was my idea and not the work of my nieces, right?

Oh dear. :groooan: That just sunk me right there.

Medic!!!

Well, you are in good company. My favorite limericks are definitely not in the "family friendly" category... so you will have to make do with this one:

The limerick packs laughs anatomical
Into space that is quite economical.
But the good ones I've seen
So seldom are clean
And the clean ones so seldom are comical.

Your secret is safe with us.

With profuse apologies to Bad Habit and Chuck, I present this very bad limerick!

Bad Habit's little dog, Chuck
Thinks he has terrible luck.
She'll dress him in clothes,
Big glasses and nose,
Though it makes poor Chuckie up-chuck!

There is Chuck, sitting in his disguise,
BH hoping to a laugh we will rise,
but after the glasses are doffed,
and BH has gone soft,
Chuck will be planning revenge as he sighs.

Bravo, MaggieJ! I like it!

Great minds think alike... at your mention of limericks, I felt compelled to start a "clean limerick" thread, but didn't feel up to being so creative yesterday.

However, this morning inspiration has hit, and so I present to you:

Chuck was a very upstanding guy
but so hungry he thought he might die
so he donned glasses and nose
and crept upon his tiptoes
to the kitchen to steal pumpkin pie!

Maybe he'll bury his birthday bone in her bed!
