You're more happy about winning third place in your class than you are first!
I went to a show two weekends ago with my intermediate Champagne buck. I'd have liked to take more, but all the does were either with a litter or about to burst, so they were in no shape to show, and my older buck decided to get pee all over himself morning of the show, so I scratched him.
Show A we got 1st intermediate buck, which I was a bit surprised by since I though my buck was lacking in depth and perhaps a bit undercut. But who am I to argue with the judge? I was much more pleased with the results of Show B, in which he placed 3rd. The judge faulted him on exactly the same things I do!
I'm excited about it because it means I'm on the right track as far as what to look for in my Champs. I'm a bit hard headed on what I do and don't like in my rabbits, so the fact that one of the judges was fully on my side makes me very excited!
