I was trying to breed a doe this morning (fat girl!) and the doe in the next cage was grumbling and running around. No success with the first one, so I thought I'd just try her. Put her in with the buck and she started aggressively mounting him! :p At one point, she squeaked and fell over just as if she was a buck. The poor buck was totally confused at this point, so I tried her with another buck. She did breed although not with any great enthusiasm.

Rabbits are strange.

She didn't even give the buck a chance to try! She didn't seem all that excited about being bred herself, just about jumping the buck. I've had them do it after the buck has had his chance, but never like this.

Finally got the fat girl to breed - fingers crossed.
