So my boyfriend ,bless his heart, wanted to get me something really special for my birthday on the 15th. He's a reptile guy,but is the whole reason I got started on rabbits because he introduced me and I just couldn't have one. :P Since he works at a pet store, he gets stock that isn't pedigreed, but the breeder had some Hollands. He saw this little guy and felt he'd be the perfect birthday present. I called him Gus Gus <3 I won't have any mini lops for the show table in February, but I was wondering if maybe he could be presented just to have some fun and learn more about entering and what not. What do you think? He's maybe 8 weeks now, but came into the pet store around 6 weeks  I tried to get him to drink milk from the doe I have with kits but he wasnt interested and my doe wasn't either. Trying to get him to eat feed mixed with oats to help him grow. Let me know! I want to say he's broken orange?

Awww- he's cute. HomeSweetHome has pics of her 4wk old Hollands posted. I don't know the standard, but his head looks more rounded than her babies (maybe because he's older?).

He's cute, but he looks like a broken black tort to me (I am far from an expert though)

is he a mini lop? or a holland lop?

Mini lops are posed differently than hollands are. you are posing him like a holland so I'm a bit confused.

And I"m tending to think black tort...but the lighting is odd so I"m not sure.

This is Gus Gus at other angles. Hopefully this will help! I can get more pictures tomorrow, but it's late and there hasn't been sun today for him to look pretty in pictures  Hopefully these rain clouds will pass soon.

Yep he looks like a holland and hes a broken black tort(:
He looks a tad long in the hindquarters but his head is very promising. I love his ears! The shape and the texture of them are very nice.
Very cute rabbit! :)

Awesome ! Thank you guys :) I'm just so excited to try out shows. Horse shows are wayyyy to much about status. What about rabbit shows? What do you guys think?
