I got this little lady yesterday to add to my mutt stock if this month of quarantine goes well. She is 6wks old and it temporarily inside for a few days while the quarantine hutch gets modified. I'm just not sure what she could be a mix of
I have plenty of pictures so an idea could be formed. She is in the kit play pen in the pictures and it is roughly a foot tall. She is also as soft as you'd expect from the pictures. I love to bury my fingers in her back (good thing she doesn't mind too much)

On that I am not sure, at 6 weeks I believe they still have a bit of baby fuzz, but it looks like she might have something more than just baby fuzz going on. Maybe someone else might have some input to add.

She definitely has more than just baby fuzz. The New Zealand babies there that we're obviously new Zealand had fur about half the length of hers and her siblings fur. She was the only black broken, and I nearly didn't get her. If I hadn't been the one to get an employee to get her, someone else (who showed up to the pen just after I did) was saying how they were thinking about getting her while I was waiting for the employee. She had two other broken patterned siblings wither that were broken Chestnut, but she cought my fancy more. I just wonder what she could be mixed with

I dunno about the fuzz, it's not lionhead for sure, but maybe a recessive jersey whooly showing up? or some other type of full body angora? but it'd be a few generations back if it was an angora cause it's too short for it to be the immediate parents I think. Maybe she's just special and randomly got longer fur too. Kinda like crazy's astrex before?

I don't think it is recessive or just a special mix of the genes, because I could easily pick out her litter mates by the fur. The whole set had it. It was just her and two others that were broken patterned

Would a closer picture of her fur maybe help decipher what she could be mixed with?

I know it's a bit off topic, but I'm so frustrated. I love the color of her eyes, but try as I might, I just can't get a picture to do them justice. Every picture comes out really brown. This is the best one I got and it is still pretty much no good. She has almost purple looking eyes. They make me think brown with a hue of steely blue in them. Can anyone tell me if she will keep these gorgeous eyes, it will she eventually grow out of them to just plain brown eyes?

hard to know with the eyes.

The fluffiness could be a touch of a wooly gene.

I look at her and think generic meat mutt...could be a touch of anything. Reminds me of some OLD dutch cross (not the new style but the really old dutch meat rabbits that come from mennonite stock) .. them crossed with broken of some sort. :)
