WANTED: Tattoo Pen

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have a tatto pen set they want to sell? (I know the answer; "I LOVE mine and would never sell it" --- okay, okay - time for me to bite the bullet and buy a brand new set for $50 so that *I* too can finally say, "I LOVE my tattoo pen set and will never go back to the clamps!" :lol:

The one i've seen for $50 ... has a single needle... that means one needs to go over the letter being marked more than one time to really get it set. The $100 has three needles in the head, so only one time for each mark gets the letter done.

There's a $150 Ken Pen, push button on off. But that thing looks like a prisoner made it!!

I bought a pen at the show I went to for $100. I haven't tried it yet, but the girl working the booth told me that her 4-H leader said to practice on a banana because the skin is similar. Guess what I bought on my last trip to town? :bananadance2:

Have my BIL hold the banana and move it around for you while you TRY to make a legible tattoo... :lol:

That will be more like what you will eventually experience.... :twisted:

The box was wrapped in hermetically sealed plastic, and with good reason... apparently it is a modified toothbrush:

Seriously, there was a post on BYH and one girl was talking about it...hold on let me find it...

OK, here is what they said....

"Slightly off topic, but.... I can't remember which thread / forum I read this on. Most electric tatoo pens have instructions that tell you to practice on a banana. All's well and good. I can write great on a banana. What they don't tell you is that you need to find a kicking, squirming, jerking banana to practice on. I can write not so good on one of those, as I found out last weekend. "

I think I'm going to need help holding bananas- er- bunnies. Queenpup holds for me, and we had a bit of a mishap when re-doing tats the day before the show... one of the bunnies jerked away when I was trying to clamp the ear, so he had a scratch going from one of the numbers. I inked it anyway, but what a mess!

Uh-oh... :shock:

if one has a kicking, squirming, uncooperative bunny (or banana), what's to prevent tattooing yourself on accident?
