Suggestion!

Is there any way to change the color of 'read' threads and 'not yet read' threads? Right now it is blue and slightly lighter blue. It is just so crazy hard for me to see which I have already viewed and which are new. Changing my monitor settings or tilting the screen doesn't help any.

Re: Suggestion!
Just an experiment- I read several that are checked, and the checkmark remained. I will now see if a response makes it go away. One moment, please!

Re: Suggestion!
The check mark should go away after you have read it, as long as you return to the main index by using "board index" button or the "top" button at the bottom of the page. If you just use the back arrow, the check mark will remain. I think.

Re: Suggestion!
Oh, but still. Sometimes I like to just keep up with a post w/o actually posting myself. Like if someone has an interesting Q and I want to know the answer. I'll want to keep checking it for new answers, don't want to post that I am just lurking...lol.
I use the 'View active Topics' link all the time. I don't go from Index to other categorizes. It doesn't go away after I've read it.

Re: Suggestion!
Try the "view new posts" link, on the right up at the top. It works as Maggie says - puts a check next to topics with new posts. Clicking it again will make the check mark disappear once you have viewed a topic whereas the back button will not.

Re: Suggestion!
I still want a better color variation or a new color. I've tried using you guy's suggestions and it's just not working. Every other forum has either a different color, bold vs regular or a huge color hue change.
I'm pretty sure it's an easy fix. Do I need to make a thread begging people to vote to change it? =p

Re: Suggestion!
I never thought about the color variation, as the check mark is so visible....but now that you mention it I do see that the colors are close to each other. I just always use the check mark.

Re: Suggestion!
I've never seen or been on a forum that uses so many different clues/marks for all sorts of things. So I don't notice anything but the link and it's color, size, font or if it's bold.

Re: Suggestion!
Luckily it's a small forum and you can pull up entire sections by clicking the top headings so you can display all threads from rabbit care, natural feeding, and colonies by clicking on rabbit care and feeding in the blue. It makes it easy to run through the sections and see all the threads since there aren't pages of threads with new posts in every section like some forums. Otherwise the forum is not very obvious at all about what threads have been posted in, read, not read.... I just ignore all that anymore on here.

Re: Suggestion!
startled me as well, as my computer's been acting funny... Thought it was something gone wrong with my monitor again, lol. Glad though that I had read this topic, and that it's not just me.
