Hello from Texas
Hi, currently not a rabbit owner, I'm actually here to see if anyone could help point me in the right direction for a checkered giant around Dallas (Willing to go a little into Oklahoma). I am hoping to get one in about a month as I am moving.
I used to have a little polish rabbit named Jasper a few years ago, had him for a very long time before he passed rainbow bridge
Anyways, I hope you guys can help me!!

Hey there, Heina! Katiebear is absolutely right. This place is perfect for getting help, joking around, checking out breeds, getting yourself thoroughly infected with Raging Rabbitosis, and just hanging out. After a while, you'll find yourself teaching more newbies!
I don't know of any Checkered Giant breeders in your area, but I do know of a breeder who does some of the prettiest and sweetest Californians I've ever worked with! On here, she's known as One Acre Farm, just in case you're interested!
If you're not interested in Calis, she may know someone with Checkered Giants you could go to, who knows?
Welcome to the crazy bunny farm!

Thanks everyone! And yes, I do have a facebook! I see the chances of getting a checkered giant are kinda slim, so I've also always been into broken New zealands, found a few on craigslist, none on rescues and am still looking at breeder.
I've never looked into Calis...

Hi Heina!

Check out the ARBA site for upcoming shows in your area- you should be able to find a breeder there, and might even fall in love with another breed of rabbit.
https://www.arba.net/showsSearch.php
The ARBA site also has a breeder's listing, so make sure to take a look at that page as well.
Good luck on the bunny hunt!

Lol that is fine. Just so long as you got them! Those are mostly sale groups so post what you are looking for. Someone may have what you want.

Re: Hello from Texas
Howdy!! I am in West Texas, but in the process of moving to Central Texas and originally from North Texas (D/FW area). I still spend a lot of time in D/FW because my parents still live there. I haven't seen any Checkered Giants at any of the shows around here, but if you are set on getting them, there are people that can transport for you. I offered transport from Mini Convention in Ohio in May and we may be driving to Portland in November for the ARBA Convention (we are still trying to decide since we are also moving).
What is your goal? (Show, pet, meat...?)
Oh, and welcome to RabbitTalk!
