My bun had a runny stool the other day, and yesterday I noticed he had it all stuck to his bum  I tried to take a wash cloth with warm water and get some off, and it helped a little but he wouldn't be still for more than a few seconds at a time because it hurt him when i tried to pull it off the fur, which was the only thing working . Unfortunately, we put all of his bed shavings in his "bath bucket" by mistake,so I have no where to give him a bath and the last time i tried to give his a bath in the bath tub, he nearly injured himself, so I'm not trying that again! I read online to rub cornstarch on the area when it's dry, and it should come right off. I might try this, but before I do, and other suggestions?

I've bathed a poopy-butt rabbit in a bucket. About 2-4 inches of just barely warm water and ease the bunny in butt first. He should stop struggling once his feet hit bottom. Let him soak awhile and then swish the water through the soiled fur. Should do the trick. For a kit, a large yogourt container works well.

Water temperature is important. It should be just the temperature of the rabbit, so he hardly realizes he is in water at all. This minimizes struggling.

Give him some blackberry, raspberry or strawberry leaves if you can, or the leaves of the lawn weeds plantain or shepherd's purse. Any of these will help stop the diarrhea.
