All day today my doe (not expecting kits, had a stillborn litter a couple of weeks ago) has been collecting timothy hay and carrying it around all day today. I put some more in her cage this evening as there was hardly any, and she acted like she had just won the lottery skipping around then bolting and nosing through it, pulling out the long strands. I thought she was trying to build a nest in the little igloo she has but nope, she'll just sit in there, holding it in her mouth.

(bad picture quality, sorry)

Mothering and pregnancy hormones sometimes get wacky when they lose a litter.

I have a couple of does that will do that if they want to nest, but have no nest box. Or sometimes if they do have a box, too. I would go ahead and rebreed her. :)

She's adorable, and then with this little bitty, perfectly neat haystache... awwwwwwwwwww! :D

Cuteness overload!!!

Obviously, she wants to make MORE adorable bunnies! :p

Well, hurry up and find one! :gettowork:

The world needs more just like her! :bunnyhop: :bunnyhop: :bunnyhop:
