I am going to buy 2 pedigree Californias this week. Can you please tell me what to look for in the SOP. I am new to rabbits and these will be my first pair.

You want them to be nice and wide in the hindquarters, be thick and meaty, and have sturdy wide shoulders. You'll also be looking for a lot of depth, which is distance between the table and the top of the back.

Look into buying a Standard of Perfection, which is available at the ARBA website. It'll be very helpful in the future when you're sorting through which youngsters you'll be keeping.
