Also known as bridal wreath.

It's in the rose family, and is a plant that has methyl salicylate (aspirin) in it. so...I'm not finding it on any safe plants list, nor on a toxic list. Since the things are almost impossible to kill once you plant them, and they get HUGE..AND need pruning to rebloom again...I was thinking this might be a good "woody plant" for rabbits? (and I just happen to have put in 4 big shrubs and 4 little ones yesterday ;) )

Well great. I've just added another treat for those little wild buggers out at the farm. :grump: Maybe they'll stop at the spirea on their way toward the roses and pea vines and just snack on the shrubs.

Seriously tho...since the whole plant has the pain killer in it, not just under the bark like with willows, this could be pretty cool. I might start to gnaw on a branch of it myself :D
