My 11 lb NZW doe (Sophia) finally had kits today. Not that she was overdue. She was due today and I went out to find fur flying around the cage and five huge kits in the nest box covered in fur.
I had the hardest time getting her bred and then she missed, then she wouldn't lift even though she would be humping the buck like crazy! :wall: I finally took her over to a friend who had a NZW buck who was almost as big and he managed to cover her twice even though it did take a while and she tried real hard to cover him!
She has retained her sweet nature and enjoyed a nose rub of appreciation for a job well done. I can't believe how big these guys are. I think I will be keeping a buck a my main herd stud.
