I agree with everyone saying mini lops. They might be a medium sized breed, but they can be giant marshmallows if you handle them enough. Please get a buck though. Since they don't go into heat and such, their temperaments stay the same unless they are sick. Good luck finding you sister a rabbit!

I wish I knew what would make them do that! My buck has done that too, and I hate not knowing how to teach him to do it on command.

In my experience, New Zealand rabbits are very large, but normally mellow rabbits that end up loving you, and my mutt bunny and mini lops are even better. We think the mutt bunny is either a new Zealand or Havana mix. When she's in the exercise pen, and I get out of the car, she RUNS to the gate...

The spots are on her neck, and they go around her hindquarters/saddle.
