Ok, possibly stupid question.

Is it a red flag if color and sex don't matter to you? Besides health, I'm mostly concerned with temperament. At what age can you tell a rabbit's general temperament? Skittish vs calm, etc?

    Ok, possibly stupid question.

Good, thank you! From my research into getting a pet quality Sheltie puppy it sounded like you had to prove you were "worthy" of one of their dogs and I was concerned rabbit breeders would be similar.

    Clover Bunny, "my" wild rabbit.

    Ok, possibly stupid question.

How to you ask a breeder about pet quality rabbits without sounding like an idiot that wants a "cute fwuffy bunny"? I've never owned a rabbit before and my experience with them comes from reading about them and handling the ones at the feedstore. I've never interacted with a breeder of...

I like what I've read about those, also fascinating the color change if a kit gets cold in the nest.

__________ Mon Jul 24, 2017 3:12 pm __________

Flemish Giants are another one that sounds like a good fit. Do you know of any health issues associated with their...

    Best breed for a newbie?

Next year I'm moving to Washington State (in TX right now) and will FINALLY have a big enough house to have a rabbit! I've owned horses, all manner of poultry (chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, turkeys) and bred goats for several years, so I have SOME experience with livestock. Just not with...
